Membership
Currently, adult & family membership costs AU $35 per year. Adults who still live with parents who are Family Members are eligible to remain as Associate Members for a fee of $5 per year (but do not receive a separate newsletter). Junior membership, open to persons below 18 years, costs AU $25 per year.
Membership extends from the date of joining, for 12 months. Members are advised that if their subscriptions fall into arrears, they will stop receiving the newsletter.
Members are sent a laminated membership card, displaying the "paid to" date & a renewal reminder is sent at the end of the membership period. You card can be used to:-
- Obtain access to hunting properties
- Get discounts from selected suppliers
- Prove membership status [Members are sent a copy of "SA Ferret News" each month (except January) and on joining receive a free copy of SAFA's "Guide to Keeping Ferrets"]
Membership enables participation in a variety of SAFA events, including races, shows and hunting trips. Annual subscriptions pay for printing and postage of the newsletter, and public liability insurance to protect the Association and members in the event of a claim for damages incurred during one of our activities. Annual events include the Brickworks Cup ferret races, several shows through the year, and participation in a variety of community events.
