Emergency Rescue Contact
If you have found a ferret, please contact SAFA's Rescue Coordinator, Samantha Jedrzejczak, phone 0411733921, who will try to coordinate the rescue with whichever member is closest to you. This may take some hours. In an emergency, please contact the RSPCA.
SAFA has established a rescue network for lost or abandoned ferrets. We work in closely with the Animal Welfare League and the Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. All members are bound by our Code of Ethics to assist with rescues, even if the only thing that can be done is to pass the message along to the Rescue coordinator who is able to help. Please contact the ferret rescue coordinator for more information... Notes:
- Baby ferrets are usually only available between December and March.
- If you have a ferret that you are no longer able to provide care for, please contact us to discuss the options.
